The Australian Army has selected Allocate Software’s MAPS Defence Suite to support the delivery of substantial improvements and savings in their military Preparedness programme.

Preparedness and the Conduct of Operations are the two critical areas of activity provided by the Defence Forces to the Australian Government, with Preparedness accounting for 65% of the overall Defence budget. The MAPS software was selected after a four-month Army Trial conducted in 2009, following the already successful MAPS implementation in the Royal Australian Navy, as a tool for efficient ship and shore side personnel manning and deployment. The roll-out of the Army MAPS programme, based in Victoria Barracks, Sydney will commence immediately.
