On 24th October 2009 the Combined Services Disabled Ski Team started their training programme on the slopes of Austria with the intention of providing participants for the British team in the Vancouver Winter Paralympics in February 2010. Each athlete possesses unique skills and pulling together such a complex organisation requires a group of dedicated volunteers. Allocate Software is proud to support this inspiring endeavour by providing computing facilities with state of the art software to facilitate all aspects of planning and recording each athlete’s activities and those of the many supporting volunteers. A laptop was handed over to the team earlier this month at St James’s Palace where the Captain of the Queen’s Guard for the day, Captain Steve Cotton, Royal Marines, hosted a lunch for team members and supporters.

Commenting on the event, Clive Jecks, Director of Defence Sales at Allocate Software said ‘We have worked closely with the Armed Forces since 1991. The courage and determination of these outstanding athletes is over whelming and Allocate Software is delighted to support such brave men and women.’ In addition, Clive’s daughter Sarah, a qualified physiotherapist, is amongst the volunteers who will be providing her time for free, to assist the Team in achieving its goals.
