Announcing the latest release of MAPS Healthroster, version 8.6
30 July 2009
The latest release of MAPS Healthroster, version 8.6, available for upgrade now, adds an additional two new modules and innovative functionality to its existing solution.
The new modules available, as part of the release, will give enhanced support to doctors and medical staff, and also incorporates revolutionary location-based rostering functionality.
The first new module will allow Trusts to administer and manage the time of junior doctors and medical staff. Barking, Havering and Redbridge University NHS Trust (BHRUT) recently became our first Trust to implement this solution, and have found that the improved production and maintenance of junior doctors’ rotas has already led to savings in efficiency. In addition, the increased visibility of the rota has also enabled management to objectively and effectively allocate and deploy staff according to patient needs. The solution has also been key in helping the Trust achieve its targets in relation to the European Working Time Directive (EWTD).
The second new module is an innovative development in functionality which will allow Trusts, for the first time, to rota staff by geographic location. This will thus allow rosters to be produced across three dimensions – time, skills set and geographic location – which will enable Trusts to more accurately and effectively allocate and deploy staff to where staff are required.
