4 May 2010
Allocate Software plc (AIM: ALL), the leading provider of workforce optimisation solutions is pleased to announce a new partnership with MKM Consulting, which will act as reseller for Allocate’s MESaLS product (Managing Equipment Stores and Loans Solution) in Australia and New Zealand. Allocate Software has installed MESaLS in more than 40 health organisations across the UK. The software supports the use of RFID and PDAs for automated data capture as well as providing rich functionality for this specialist area.
MKM Consulting has signed its first contract under this partnership with ACT Health, making ACT the first customer to implement MESaLS in Australia. ACT Health will deploy MESaLS in a new purpose built facility accommodating five separate services within the Aged Care & Rehabilitation Service. MESaLS will be integrated with patient administration, ordering and scanned medical record systems. The solution is expected to deliver significant financial savings and operational efficiencies in the processing and tracking of loans equipment.
Grant Carey-Ide, Executive Director, Aged Care and Rehabilitation Service at ACT Health commented: "ACT Health is looking forward to significantly improved service efficiencies once MESaLS is implemented. Improved asset management processes will provide improved client service through improved equipment data and equipment access for both staff and referrers. We look forward to the ongoing solutions support and innovation from MKM Consulting and Allocate."
MESaLS is a Web Based Application for managing Community Equipment provision. It includes a full Client Management Section as well as Stock Management and Logistics. It supports a range of activities including Assessments, Delivery/Issue of Equipment, Collection/Return of Equipment, Repairs, Modifications, Adaptations and Exchanges. There is full management of client historical and current activity as well as the ability to review and repair equipment that is due for Collection as well as those due for Repair/Maintenance. These activities with full details can be recorded against each item to add to the full equipment history. Stock replenishment is managed by using maximum, minimum and re-order levels against products and using history to assist with calculating required stock holdings. The use of barcodes to track and trace equipment is supported by the Pocket MESaLS application and state of the art handheld devices. The latest devices support GPS (SatNav), Signature Capture, GPRS/Edge (for use as mobile phone / data transmission), and RFID. The system is complemented by a full suite of management information reports.
Chris Lee, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Allocate Software commented: "We are delighted to welcome our first Australian client ACT Health to the MESaLS user community and look forward to working with MKM Consulting which has a strong presence in Australasia, enabling us to extend the use of MESaLS into this region"
Andy Smallman, Professional Services Director at MKM Consulting commented: "We are delighted to have signed the reseller agreement for MESaLS with Allocate Software. It fits well with our strategy of implementing innovative health ICT solutions and is well aligned with our skills in health systems implementation and integration. We believe that there is currently a gap in the Australasian market for a "best of breed" Equipment Loans Solution."
