Fourth Quarter Update and Contract Wins
10 June 10
The recent selection of Allocate and Healthroster by the Department of Health, New South Wales, validates our international expansion strategy. The new contract with the Australian Army, building on our relationship with the Royal Australian Navy, clearly reinforces our position within the Defence sector, particularly across the Commonwealth and Coalition forces community.
We are committed to the adoption of solutions that will help us plan and deploy our team of engineers as we grow our business worldwide.

MAPS Maritime Suite

At the core of Allocate Software’s solution for organisations involved in the shipping, offshore engineering or cruise and ferry industries, is the MAPS Maritime Suite. Designed for intermediate to large maritime organisations that need to improve the effectiveness of crew scheduling and resource planning, MAPS is an enterprise-wide workforce optimisation solution.

Features

The suite is a completely integrated workforce planning solution; combining vessel and equipment planning, human resources management (e.g. roles, responsibilities, qualifications and certifications), payroll feeds, training and travel administration. An organisation-wide view of workforce supply and demand is available, with the ability to zoom in and out to different levels of detail, the following features are provided within MAPS Maritime Suite:

  • Crew Human Resources Records: Including personal details, training and certification, passports, seaman’s books, visas and vaccinations, medical details, crew effects, performance appraisals, vessel preferences, work contracts and employment history.

  • Workforce Scheduling: Managing crew rotations, vessel transfers, work breaks, promotions and bulk posting adjustments, due to poor weather and refit or special events.

  • Organisational Planning: Showing the organisation structure with functions for new builds, copy and paste structures, name changes, post management, ranks/grades and roles.

  • Licenses and Certification: Including conventions, regulations, crew certificates, limitations and endorsements, post and vessel safe manning and expiry warnings.

  • Training Management: From event planning, listing courses and providers, managing course applications, to recommending training based on scheduling skills shortfalls.

  • Payroll Feeds: Including contract details, temporary contracts, pay entitlements, travel days, work and leave history.

  • Voyage & Itinerary Management: Featuring airports, port agents, voyage templates and itineraries for ports and ships.

  • Leave Accounts: Showing the current balance, forecasted leave, target leave, annual leave entitlement and leave adjustments.

  • Communications: Providing automated production of letters of application, invitations to interview, reminders and travel authorisations; all with a complete audit trail of activity.

  • Reporting: With rich reporting functions, including integration with Microsoft Excel built into MAPS. Diaries can be printed in calendar view, whilst other views can be exported to either MS Excel or Crystal Reports.

  • Business Rules: Including several business modules for simplifying workflow and managing processes. For example finding posts and locating the people to fill them with; defining who is eligible for which types of travel and at what class; all based on a series of rules.

  • Data Replication: Featuring MAPS replication, a proven and resilient technology with over a decade of real-world usage in some of the world’s worst locations for satellite coverage. Replication provides near real-time transfer of data from the master database to one or more remote databases (e.g. on other platforms and vessels).

  • Security Framework: Managing user groups and setting the rules for segregating data visibility between the different types of user.
