of Allocate Software's POB Management module

The POB module gives the following functionality that assists with the management of staff allocations on offshore locations such as rigs and platforms:

• POB Scheduling Extensions – MAPS provides unique time based functionality for planning personnel rotations and ensuring demand for key skilled resources is met in a timely fashion. The MAPS POB scheduling extensions allows the planners to view the forecast availability of cabins and lifeboats and specify the initial arrival, work and rest locations as part of the planning process.
  
  
• Movements – Travel between offshore locations such as a rig or accommodation vessel are part of the normal operations of an offshore site. MAPS provides the facility administrators with the ability to record movements between shore and the offshore locations, as well as between locations. The sign on process, in particular, allows the facilities manager to ensure there is sufficient cabin and lifeboat accommodation before accepting any new personnel onto the location.
  
  
• Shift Management – MAPS POB provides the concept of an AM/PM shift rotation to allow for the natural work and rest cycles. This is particularly useful for forecasting the movement of personnel between work and rest locations, where large numbers of personnel are moving between locations and need to be accounted for. The system also allows for emergency movements in the case of medical evacuation or emergency repairs to an offshore location.
  
  
• POB Forecasts – Views are provided which forecast personnel arrivals between offshore locations and from shore side. Each forecast is based on the expected movement of personnel based on their work shift and any planned movement such as new arrivals, sign offs and ‘work gangs’ that need to move from location to location for example, when constructing a new platform or making planned repairs.
  
  
• Heli-Schedules – The heli-schedules view allows the facilities Manager to view the expected arrival and departure manifests. This allows the Manager to prepare the paperwork in advance of any personnel movements.
  
  
• POB Control - MAPS POB module also provides additional functionality for the management of offshore locations, such as departmental limits on the allocation of lifeboats and cabins, visitor movements, defining and managing work gangs and viewing historical movement history.
