Onboard maintains an active list of crew and all their details, including licenses, certificates, next of kin, timesheets, accounts, appraisals and future rotations. Also included are vessel functions for recording port visits, agents, cash accounts, vessel certificates and provisions.

- Simple Graphical User Interface: Onboard is designed to be easy-to-use with an icon driven interface. By using the power of web based development tools most information is simply a single click away from the home page
- All port information at a touch of a button: Present and historic information concerning all aspects of a port can be viewed and modified. This information includes port agent contact information, IATA and UN Location codes as well as any additional notes regarding the port of arrival/departure
- Manage Crew Records: Onboard displays crew details such as addresses, next of kin, certificates, endorsements, appraisals, travel documents and future assignment details. The system also provides a detailed crew list for arrival & departure, highlighting any documentation issues (e.g. expiring or mandatory documents)
- Compliance with IMO regulations: Onboard helps the Master ensure the vessel and crew certificates are in compliance with IMO regulations and standards for crew welfare
- Keep a log of all shipboard expenditure: Using Onboard’s book keeping functionality, the master is able to log all ship and crew cash transactions. Creating an electronic and easily auditable transactional ledger
- Timesheet Management: Using the timesheet functionality the Master is able to generate electronic timesheets. To speed up this process, timesheet templates can be applied for several crew over a period of weeks, speeding up implementation, while allowing them to check for compliance against IMO180 regulations
- Creation of user accounts with pre-definable roles: The master can grant secure access to provisions, timesheets and book keeping functionality to other senior offices as required, using the pre-defined account types
- Log and manage vessel itineraries: The master can adjust itinerary arrival and departure times and dates based on unforeseen circumstances
- Manage vessel certification: Vessel certification can be saved and modified on the system, with the ability to set warnings when renewals are required
- Information searches: Information relating to ports and crew can be searched, viewed and modified by the master, creating a centralised store of information
- Easy creation of multiple user accounts: Account creation is easy, with the ability to link functionality based on user requirements
