Welcome to the finance team

Our team is made up of two defined functions:

  1. Finance and Operations – This team looks after all accounting and operational finance for the group. This ranges from group billing, statutory accounting, purchase and sales ledger, to credit control and expenses. Furthermore, we are the team responsible for closing the books each month and ensuring that our revenue and costs across the group are recognised correctly. 
  2. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) – This team are the forward-looking commercial arm of the finance department. As finance business partners, we work closely with senior budget holders throughout Allocate to devise medium and long-term strategic plans and ensure we are on track to meet our targets. We are actively involved throughout all stages in the leadtocash cycle, helping ensure that new bookings, market entries, new products and account renewals offer the best commercial outcomes possible.

I've been working at Allocate since March 2017. I started as Credit Controller and the company has supported me to grow, to be confident and it has challenged me to take on more responsibility. In August 2019 I was promoted to North Macedonia Finance Team Leader. What it is like to work in our department?

Finance and Operations is a great team to work in. We have to respond and adapt to business changes, such as incorporating a new acquisition into our existing processes. We have roles at all levels throughout the team so its great for career development no matter what stage you are at. 

FP&A is a challenging, yet incredibly rewarding team. To be successful you need to be able to solve complex analytical problems and have the personal skills to relay this to key stakeholders who have various degrees of financial acumen. Spread throughout the group there are opportunities both locally as well as internationally, to developInvestment in our staff is considered crucial to maintaining top-quality FP&A performance in this fast-changing environment.

The team ensures that key strategic decisions are made on a sound financial footing. Adding financial discipline to forward decisions ensures that Allocate grows in a way that is financially sustainable.  

What is the team's purpose?

Everything we do in our team is to support the rest of Allocate. We think of our department as a family, we work very closely with either team and oversee everything across the business. Alongside an analytical mindset and excellent communication skills, we consider a broad understanding of accounting standards and key financial statements as key to our ability to flourish in this department.

Our teams are mainly based in our Richmond and Skopje offices.
