Interoperability between eCommunity and Rio platforms will transform clinical experience by increasing time to care whilst improving visit record accuracy

22 April 2021 –  Allocate Software and digital care provider Servelec today announce they will partner to support the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s (MPFT) goal of modernising community healthcare by delivering interoperability between workforce management and patient record data.

The integration of Servelec’s Rio EPR system and Allocate’s eCommunity platform – both already in use at MPFT – will enable patient record data to be automatically uploaded into the Allocate platform, freeing up staff to spend more time on patient care and improving the overall clinical experience for patients. This will drive improvements in the clinical and patient experience, enabling healthcare staff to spend more time on care and less time on the manual recording of patient information.

In line with the recommendations from the NHS Long Term Plan for staff to capture all health and care information digitally at the point of care, the new integration between the Allocate and Servelec platforms will eradicate the double entering of data.  Allocate and Servelec will develop an API to integrate the two systems which will provide a seamless two-way flow of data between Rio and e-Community, aligning real-time patient demand with the appropriate staffing requirement into one system.

Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust is the first customer for Allocate and Servelec’s partnership, with Servelec the 15th partner to sign up to the Allocate Connect Programme following the announcement of First Care at the end of last year.  The initiative brings together Allocate workforce technology platforms with other digital technology innovators and service providers into an ecosystem of forward-thinking partners that are committed to a collaborative approach.
